Hold on guys! Hear me out! Have you every stayed at a hotel and noticed that the whole place has a scent of far away lilac gardens or lemongrass? Perhaps it is Fresh Linen in the lobby and Sweet Orange as you make your way to the dining room for breakfast the following morning.

Unlike other, traditional, and sometimes bulky diffusers, this nebulizer requires no heat nor water to deliver the benefits of essential oils with ease. By using the oil alone, it preserves the natural essence of the oil in any room or space. Simply attach one of the scents of your choice, plug in the unit, and select the intensity level. We went with the Halo Bundle, which can be found on Amazon for $84.00*.

This bundle included the Essential Oil 3-Pack: which were 10ml bottles of Lavender, Sweet Orange, and Lemongrass oil. It also came with an empty fourth bottle that is to be used for cleaning the unit in-between different scented oils.

We placed the unit in the living room and turned her on. It has 3 scent diffusion levels:

Low: On for 30 seconds, 4 minutes and 30 seconds off.

Medium: On for 45 seconds, 3 minutes and 15 seconds off.

High: On for 1 minute, 2 minutes off.

NOTE: The unit will automatically turn off after 8 hours of run time.

What We Thought

We selected the High setting for 2 reasons; first we wanted to see just how quickly it would diffuse the oil in the 10ml bottle. And secondly, we wanted to know just how strong the scent would be in the room. We found that for the size of room we have (roughly 25'x25'), the High level is the one we've gone with the most due to the fact that it really didn't freshen things up as quickly as we would have preferred. However, once you left the room and came back you could notice the scent. I guess it was a situation of becoming “nose-deaf” where we just couldn't smell it after a while. In the following days we tried the other 2 settings as well with less preferred results in the medium setting and almost zero noticeability in the low setting.

We also noticed that it was louder than we thought it should be for a diffuser. I have spent time with my older relatives who have been on oxygen, either at home or in the retirement homes, and felt that the sound the diffuser made each time it activated was about the same as an oxygen machine in a room down the hall. It didn't interfere with watching a movie or television or even having the radio on, but did strike us as being more noticeable than other items that produce the same in-home effect.

Overall, it is a great little gadget. Easy to use and easy to clean, which is probably more important. However, we found that it was slightly louder than what we would have liked and it didn't come with an adapter for the wall outlet, which was probably the most irritating. Yes, it comes with the cord, but it is a USB chord and you need to supply the adapter to plug it into the wall yourself. We would have returned it had we not had an extra in our gadget drawer just waiting for use. This seems like an oversight since this item is going to be used in the home, off in a corner unnoticed (hopefully), and not plugged into a laptop or other USB device like a television or clock radio next to the bed. If they can mix in some more masculine scents in the future, then you've got yourself at least one repeat customer.
